The Experience
Your day starts with birdsong and coffee on a deck above the water. A private guide reads the forest for you, a jaguar print in the mud, a troop of monkeys overhead, the exact branch where a sloth has not moved since yesterday. Mornings are for canoe trips and jungle walks, afternoons for a swim or a nap through the heat, and evenings for a night safari when the caiman come out.
Back at the lodge there is a real bed, a private bathroom, and a cold drink waiting. This is the Amazon without giving anything up, close enough to touch the wild, comfortable enough that the whole family sleeps well. Every excursion is chosen around who you are traveling with and what you most want to see.
Trip options
Every trip is private and tailored, these are simply the shapes most travelers start from.
The essentials in a short window. Canoe trips, a jungle walk, a night safari, and a visit to a river community.
Our most popular shape. Adds piranha fishing, more time on quiet channels, and a chance to swim with pink dolphins.
For travelers who want to go slow and see more. Deeper excursions, sunrise birdwatching, and unhurried days in the forest.
Day-by-day
One example, every trip is tailored.
Meet your guide in Manaus and travel by road and boat to the lodge. Settle in, then an afternoon canoe trip and your first sunset over the water.
A morning jungle walk to learn the forest up close, an afternoon visit to a caboclo community, and after dark a night safari to spot caiman.
Try your hand at piranha fishing, then the highlight for many, a swim with the pink river dolphins in the warm black water.
An early canoe trip while the forest wakes, breakfast on the deck, then the journey back to Manaus around midday.
What's included
A private room with a proper bed and en-suite bathroom, in the middle of the rainforest.
An experienced naturalist guide who speaks English or German, just for your group.
All meals at the lodge, freshly prepared, including regional Amazon dishes.
Guided canoe trips, jungle walks, and night safaris, chosen around your group.
Every road and boat transfer between Manaus and the lodge is handled for you.
An honest visit to a river community, arranged with respect and never staged.
Lodging
Our standard rainforest rooms, comfortable, clean, and close to everything.
More space and comfort, the best rooms in the lodge for a special stay.
A cabin on the water itself, with the river right at your doorstep.
Honest expectations
The Amazon is hot and humid, and there are insects, that is what makes it the Amazon. The lodge is comfortable but it is still deep in the forest, so power and signal can be simple. Bring light long sleeves and repellent, follow your guide, and you settle in fast. What you get in return is genuine wilderness with a real bed to come home to, and that trade is what makes this the right first Amazon trip for most people.
Good to know
Yes. The lodge style is our most family-friendly. Excursions can be shortened or swapped to match younger travelers, and the comfort of a real room makes a big difference with kids.
Almost certainly, though the Amazon is wild and nothing is on a schedule. Pink dolphins, caiman, monkeys, and countless birds are common. Your guide knows where to look and how to be patient.
Private rooms with a real bed and en-suite bathroom. Comfortable and clean, in a rainforest setting, so expect natural simplicity rather than a city hotel.
Not much, and it is flexible. Jungle walks are gentle and optional, and a lot of the experience happens by canoe. Tell us your comfort level and we adjust.
